Worship & Resources for Kids! Sunday March 22, 2020

Sprouts & Orchard Families! As you know, today we are worshiping online only due to the government recommendations around large gatherings and preventing the spread of the coronavirus pandemic. As a church we have cancelled our in-person gatherings and we are meeting online only.

At NMBC we will be live on YouTube and the video will be shared on our website and Facebook page. We encourage you to view this service with your family. Take a picture of your family watching the service and post it on social media and share with us! You can watch, starting at 1015am, here: www.nmbc.ca/livestream

Since we are all home we want to share with you what we would have been teaching this morning in Sprouts & Orchard. You can use these resources to create a fun family time with your family! Reading and learning from the Bible as a family should be an important part of your family rhythm!

Talking about the Coronavirus with Kids

  • Our children don't always understand the whole picture of what's going on in the world, but they do understand some. They also pick up on our emotions and our responses to the world. It's important that we help our children understand what is happening [and what is not] and help them to understand that God is powerful and present. Here are some helpful resources:

  • Helping Children With Scary News, Sally Lloyd-Jones [author of the Jesus Storybook Bible].

  • How to Talk to Children About the Coronavirus, Cameron Cole, The Gospel Coalition
