Read Luke 1:26-38 Ask God to bless your study.

1. What does God’s choice of Mary tell us about God? What does Nazareth tell us about the way God works in the world?

2. What can we learn from Mary’s “yes” to God? How was Mary able to say yes? How are we able to say yes?

3. What does Mary’s faith teach us about faith? How can we learn from Mary’s faith in the impossible?

4. How is Christmas the end of prejudice and discrimination?

5. How does Eve relate to Mary and what does that mean for us (Genesis 3:15; 1 Corinthians 15:22, 45)?

6. What can we learn from the supernatural birth of Jesus? How is Jesus’ birth related to our own spiritual rebirth?

7. What does Mary’s disposition tell us about the people God calls? How can we, at Christmastime, cultivate a humble posture, ready to receive our King?
