Warm-up. When do you feel strongest in your faith?
Read: Matthew 6:9-13. Ask God to bless your study.
1. What is significant about the fact that the Lord’s Prayer is book-ended by the power and glory of God?
2. What are some ways we seek personal power and glory?
3. What is Christ’s power like (Colossians 1:15-18; Romans 1:20; Psalm 33:6-9; Hebrews 1:3)? How does recalling such divine power and glory help in your prayer life?
4. Read Exodus 33:18; 34:6-7 and discuss what God’s character has to do with his glory?
5. How important is the Holy Spirit’s role in your prayer life (Romans 8:26)?
6. What does “amen” mean? What all is involved in saying “Amen” to the Lord’s Prayer?
7. How well are you doing in praying and living out the entire Lord’s Prayer? Where are you strongest and weakest?
