Warm-up. What’s a favourite fall activity?

Read: Col 4:2-6 . Ask God to bless your study.

1. When are you most compelled to pray?

2. Why do you think Christians are to be alert or watchful (4:2)? What should we be alert for (Luke 12:35-48; 1 Peter 5:8-9)?

3. What does Paul want the Colossians to pray for and why is it so important (4:3-4)?

4. In light of what you have already studied in Colossians, what reasons do believers have to be thankful in their prayers?

5. What are your own prayer habits like? Based on what you have learned about Paul’s habits and instructions for prayer, what changes do you think you should make to grow in prayer?

6. What opportunities do you have to be with unbelievers? What do you think is your reputation among them? Why do you think it is important for you to maintain—or improve—your reputation for “conversation … full of grace, seasoned with salt” (4:5-6)?
