Warm-up. What do you fear the most? Why?

Read:2 Kings 13:14-19. Ask God to bless your study.

1. King Joash was sad and crying at the news of Elisha’s imminent death. Why do you think this was? How did the prophet seek to encourage the king (vv. 15-17)?

2. How are we called to be active in both personal and public spiritual warfare (Ephesians 6:10-12; Galatians 5:16; Romans 8:13; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5)?

3. What scripture has God recently used to speak to you? How did it help guide and empower you?

4. Why was Elisha angry that Joash didn’t shoot more than three arrows (v. 19)?

5. What are some ways Christians today give halfhearted efforts of repentance and obedience? How will you believe and obey God for greater victory in your life this week?
