Reflect & Discuss

Warm-up. If laughter were the fuel in the tank of life, would your gauge show your tank to be full, half full, or nearly empty? Why? When was the last time you laughed till you cried?

Ask God to bless your study.

  1. Read Zechariah 9:9; John 12:13-15; Revelation 19:11-16 and share your responses to this prophetic procession.

  2. In light of Hebrews 4:12, why is it appropriate that the rider is called "the Word of God" in Rev. 19:13? How does this fit the context of what Christ the King is about to do?

  3. What impressions of the rider does 19:11-16 leave you with? Discuss all the symbols and how they apply to the rider?

  4. Read 1 Peter 1:13 and on a scale from 1 to 10 (1 being weakest and 10 strongest) where would you rate how well you are living out this verse? In what ways could you improve?

  5. How does the truth of the visible return of Jesus at any moment help you to say no to temptation and yes to spiritual disciplines such as prayer, Bible study and serving others?

  6. What are you looking forward to most about Jesus’ return?
