Warm-up. When was the first time you remember singing in church? How old were you?

Read Exodus 20:1-3, Psalm 98:1-8, Psalm 150:1-6, Colossians 3:12-17 Ask God to bless your study.

  1. Why is it so important to worship God? [Genesis 1:1]

  2. Does God really expect us to worship Him alone? Why? [Exodus 20:1-3]

  3. In what ways do we tend to worship the created rather than the Creator?

  4. Why is corporate singing beneficial to the spiritual health of the church? Why are we commanded to sing?

  5. Scripture says that all creation praises God. In what way does that bring you joy, especially this time of year?

  6. How does gathering for weekly corporate worship build up the body of Christ? [Col 3:12-17]

  7. As you spend time in personal worship this week, take time to be thankful for God’s blessings, His steadfast love and His faithfulness to you.
