A couple of good questions to ask ourselves: How would our lives change if we could recall Scripture to mind at a moment’s notice to bring comfort, peace and assurance? In this motivating Bible Study, Natalie and Vera lead participants through a study of Philippians 4:4-9 to teach a simple method of memorizing God’s word.

COMMON ROOM: On Saturday March 8th from 12-5, in the church café library, set aside some time to spend in intentional creative work. This is not an event, it is an opportunity to set aside a good part of a day to study and create in the company of likeminded others. Bring your painting, your knitting, your journal, your writing project, a book you are studying, or anything that can be done quietly in a common space. Come with a willingness to be unproductive: we will not all be famous artists or writers, and all work toward the good, beautiful, and true is valuable.  Bring a packed lunch and we will start with lunch together, have a time of prayer and a short reflection before beginning into our work, and then we will end with prayer. Make sure to plan ahead so you can join us for the whole time. Light snacks will be provided as well as coffee and tea to enjoy while you work. Contact Avery Peters with any questions or for further information: avery.peters@gmail.com

LENTEN TAIZÉ PRAYER: Join us for a special Lenten time of prayer and worship on Sunday March 16th at 6:30pm. The scriptural meditative songs of Taizé are worshipfully sung in acknowledgment of God’s presence within us and around us. As we prepare ourselves for Good Friday and Easter let us come together to ask God what it is that we need to be attentive to. For more info contact Avery Peters (avery.peters@gmail.com) or Pastor Daniel (daniel.cormier@nmbc.ca).
