Warm-up. What’s your favourite Thanksgiving pie?

Read Luke 18:1-8. Ask God to bless your study.

1. Can you relate to the widow in Jesus’ story? If so, how?

2. If prayer is the primary activity of faith, what does the state of your prayer-life reveal about your faith?

3. Why is the ‘word of Christ’ (Romans 10:17) so important to your faith? How has God’s Word enhanced your prayer-life?

4. Have you seriously interceded in prayer for someone? What was the situation that moved you to pray?

5. Who have you known in your life who was an example of a person who prayed fervently? What do you find most difficult about maintaining a consistent prayer life?

6. What has helped you most in your prayer life? Read 1 John 2:1; 1 Timothy 2:5; Romans 8:34; and Hebrews 7:25. How can these verses of scripture about Jesus help you to pray better?

Take time to pray/intercede for your friends, relatives, neighbours, church, nation, or others to come to Jesus.
