Warm-up. What is a favourite fall food?

1. Discuss how we can have a deep desire for life in heaven, on the New Earth, even though we haven’t yet experienced it. What elements of your home here and now do you most hope to experience in Heaven?

2. What does the Apostle Paul say we must do in Colossians 3:1-2? Why is it important and how do we practically do this?

3. How does the present (intermediate) Heaven differ from the eternal Heaven (on the new Earth)? What does Revelation 21:1-4 teach us about it? What is the particular significance of verse 3 as it relates to where Heaven will be located?

4. According to the apostle Paul (1 Corinthians 15:12-22), why is resurrection so important? What are some of the descriptions that Paul gives of our future, heavenly bodies according to 1 Corinthians15:43-44, 53? How do you feel about this?

5. It’s always been popular to believe everyone gets to heaven. Why do you think this is so, and what do verses like John 14:6 and Acts 4:12 say about it?

6. How can a person know they are going to Heaven (Romans 8:16-17; 10:9-10)?

7. Randy Alcorn: “Longing for Heaven is longing for God, and longing for God is longing for Heaven.” God and Heaven are not the same. Yet in some sense they are inseparable. Why is this so, and how do you feel about it?
